What is My Best Buy?
My Best Buy is an online membership service that helps shoppers find tech, appliances, home essentials and more online with little hassle and more savings. Formerly known as Best Buy Totaltech, the new membership program offers three tiers with additional perks for the higher tier you select. For instance, members of the My Best Buy Plus tier ($49.99 a year) get exclusive savings on 8K TVs and laptops while the standard My Best Buy tier only gets you free shipping with no minimum purchase.
How much does My Best Buy cost?
That depends on the tier you select. The basic My Best Buy membership is free of charge. The My Best Buy Plus tier is $49.99 a year and the My Best Buy Total tier costs $179.99 a year. The cost of the higher membership tiers reflect the additional perks included, such as savings on highly-rated tech.
How do I sign up for My Best Buy?
Simply go to the My Best Buy membership page to learn more about the three memberships available. When you figure out which one best suits your shopping needs, you can create an account with your full name, email address and phone number. The My Best Buy Total tier gets you all of the aforementioned benefits with protection plans on seelect tech (like AppleCare+), 24/7 tech support, VIP member assistance and 20% off repairs.
Is a My Best Buy membership worth it?
Absolutely! Each tier has a benefit that can help make online shopping easier. If you're a frequent visitor to Best Buy, the My Best Buy Total tier gets you amazing savings and technical assistance all year round. Those on a budget but still want exclusive deal access can give the Plus tier a whirl for savings on everything from Roku TVs to Ninja kitchen appliances. What is the difference between a Best Buy Totaltech membership and a My Best Buy membership?
My Best Buy is a revamped version of the Best Buy Totaltech that officially went into effect in June 2023. If you're already a Totaltech member, your benefits will change to the new benefits included in the equivalent My Best Buy tier.
